Striving to "Be"

As I think about the "Sense of Becoming" (becoming more fully who I was created to be), my journey is characterized by the elements below:

“Who” I am striving to be:

  • More fully who I am and was created to be;

  • An active “seeker” of the One sought (God);

  • More “Christ-like”;

  • His servant (through faith, hope, and love) to His glory;

  • Thirsty for righteousness;

  • Gentle;

  • Merciful;

  • Pure in heart;

  • A peacemaker;

I realize that while I am alive in human form I will never "Be" who I was created to be. However, having these characteristics as a target for growing and developing gives me the ability to measure my actions and thoughts.

Lord, help me as this is beyond my capabilities and is a matter of Your grace.
