"Change is Going to Come"
One of my favorite old songs is "Change is Going to Come" by Sam Cooke and I think it is a fitting title for an update on what is going on with the OSU Cowboy Football program.
​
It is clearly evident Coach Gundy is committed to making several changes in response to the 3-9 record from last season.
The changes are with the coaching staff and the players.
​
There is a new defensive coordinator (Todd Grantham), new offensive coordinator (Doug Meachum) and several new assistant coaches (many who have past connection with Grantham and/or Meachum).
​
There are already 4 Tansfer Portal additions with indication there are more to come. There have been 7 or 8 players from the last season squad who have entered the Portal (with a few more expected).
​
Yep, "Change is Going to Come" (and the change has already begun) and the OSU program has taken on a new "face"!
​
I like the changes I see and appreciate the commitment Coach Gundy is showing in response to the situation.
​
Time will tell whether the changes will result in restoration of the success the Cowboys have enjoyed over the past 19 years but, I have confidence in Gundy and am excited about things to come!

It appears that the game of college football will be "different" as we move into the future.

Will a "super" division of 64 teams be created?
Will players become employees of the university?
Will more players enter the Transfer Portal and use the move as negotiating effort to increase their NIL value?
