I am re-reading Viktor Frankl's "Man's Search for Meaning" and, today, on page 93, I ponder on "The Will to Meaning."
According to Frankl, "Man's search for meaning is the primary motivation in his life (and not a 'secondary rationalization' of instinctual drives."
As I devote a few minutes to "think deeply" on Frankl's statement, new light is shed on the basis of my motivation for growing spiritually. While I do feel what I believe to be "instinctual drive" to grow, I also believe my desire (and want-to) to grow is natural.
Today I pray. I pray to the Holy Spirit to lead me along my spiritual growth journey, help me "unmask" from the worldly identity and take on the the identity for who God created me to be.
AMEN!
