Know thy time, and know that seems to pass quickly as we age!

Time is a resource spent on "an action, process, or condition." Even doing nothing requires time. It is a very precious resource in that we can't make time, each second of time is unique, and we can't duplicate our experience of any second.

I don't know why but, I have always seemed to value time. I recognize that the resource is limited and I know that we can be more "efficient" using it (doing things in a shorter amount of time or doing more things in the same amount of time) and more "effective" with the time we have (doing the "right things".

I also know by first-hand experience that as we age we perceive time passes quicker. Why is this? Well, one explanation comes from a theory, "first proposed by French philosopher Paul Janet in 1897, suggesting that as people age, a year becomes a smaller fraction of their entire life. For example, a year for a 5-year-old is one-fifth of their life, but a year for a 50-year-old is only one-fiftieth."

Regardless of explanation, for me personally, I believe it important to give priority to being "effective" with time and to hold dear each moment as we age.
