"First Belong to God"

First Belong to God is a book written by Austen Ivereigh and it is a "Eight-Day Retreat" based on St. Ignatius's "Spiritual Exercises."
The author (who has written various books about and with Pope Francis) has done a wonderful job of captivating our attention and providing ample opportunity to utilize the book as a "guide" for the retreat.
Ivereigh has blended scripture, some of Pope Francis's writings, and Reflection Questions which make it easy to spend time pondering and meditating during the retreat.
While reading the book I experienced several "Aha" moments and gained several new insights about overcoming the temptation of self-interest to open my mind and take steps to get closer to God and appreciate the love He provides.
