I'm Back in the Saddle!!

Back in September (2025) I took on a new job as Coordinator of Academic Servies for Workforce Readines at Northern Oklahoma College. Learning a new job at 75 years of age is possible but, definitely not easy.

So, I shelved johndolezal.com and focused most of my time and focus on learning the ins and outs of the job.

Now I am back! Anxious to write new blog posts and to add fresh material on each web page.

One of my first new endeavors for the webiste is going to be writing a family history story about my great-grandfather, Joseph E. Dolezal. The title of the story is "Bundle of Sticks" (a metaphor that has been related to propery rights..."in property law it describe ownership not as a single entity, but as a collection of individual, separable rights - such as the right to possess, use, exclude, transfer, and enjoy property.

Give our family legacy for the value of owning land (property), the title seems relevant and interesting.

The story is centered on my great-grandfather's life and with a personal perspective and interpretation of family lore (the collection of stories, traditions, and ancedotes as experienced personally or passed on to me by my Grandfather, Father, Uncles, and other members of our extended family.
